1989
Dean and Ann Logan start running Hanley & Co from Ashton-under-Lyne, with a team of 4 accountants and tax advisors.
1995
Hanley & Co relocates to larger premises in Ashton-under-Lyne to accommodate the Practice’s growth.
2000
A second office is opened, serving clients across Blackpool and Fylde.
2001 and 2002
Paul, Debbie and Michael join us as ‘apprentices’ to complete their accountancy qualifications. We are delighted they are still with us today, as valued members of our Accounts and Tax Teams
2009
Gina (Dean and Ann’s daughter) graduates with a BSc(Hons) in Business Studies from the prestigious Lancaster University Management School, and joins Hanley & Co in the payroll department. She commences her ACCA studies at Manchester Met.
2013
Gina qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant with the ACCA and also completes several advanced tax examinations for the Chartered Tax Advisor qualification.
2015
Rachel is warmly welcomed to our Accounts Team, to support our sole trader clients.
2018
Gina qualifies as a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants and gains her own practicing certificate with the ICAEW.
2020
Transition to cloud-based systems and re-locate the Ashton-under-Lyne office to the iconic Ashton Old Baths building.
2020-2021
Tracy, Francesca and Nicola are warmly welcomed to our Accounts Team, to support our further growth.
2024
Celebrate 35 years of being ‘Accountants You Can Talk To’.
2025
Re-locate the Blackpool and Fylde office to larger premises on Whitehills Business Park, to support our continued growth.

Some accountants offer menu pricing/fixed fees which we feel can be restrictive, and ‘groups’ clients. At Hanley & Co, we believe each client is ‘individual’, and their requirements should be assessed on an ‘individual basis’. We will make recommendations regarding your bookkeeping systems, quote fees for the work, and you will not receive unexpected bills from Hanley & Co.
Free initial Consultation
There are no time limits. Meetings will be at your convenience, at your place of business, home, or at one of our two offices in Ashton under Lyne or Blackpool. If you are based further afield, we presently have many clients with whom we work very well by telephone, e-mails and post.
Work Completed To Timescales
Assuming you provide the necessary information, we will complete all work promptly. We are proud to keep our record of never being to blame for a client receiving a penalty for non or late filing of a Self Assessment return, since their introduction many years ago.
